Here’s what At Your Pace! clients have to say…
Delia R, Tinbeerwah.
‘We leave our troubles at the door.’
‘It doesn’t feel like an exercise class.’
‘I really like the part where we stretch at the end. We’re warmed up from the class where you use a lot of the big muscle groups. The exercises use all the muscles you might not use at home, then you stretch out all the aches and pains.’
Peter R, Tinbeerwah.
‘It’s good fun.’
‘Lee says do what you can. Some things I do well and some I can’t: like the knee exercises.’
‘Some of us have bits that are trying to fall off. Coming to the group it’s interesting to see what’s happening with the others. Who’s got their hips done and how they go with exercise afterwards.’
Robin H, Cooroy.
‘‘It’s doing me good. I used to come when this class was Heart Moves which it’s not anymore. I still kept coming because I liked it and I felt encouraged. The music’s good and it’s not like a gym. Mentally, you feel good. ’
John H, Palm Lakes, Cooroy
I appreciate the company and I like the challenge. I like the personal aspect of being in the group. I’ve been improving my balance. It’s slow but I can see a difference.’
Joan M, Cooroy.
‘I come for the exercise and the camaraderie.’
‘You are not over exerting yourself so you don’t feel like ‘oh I can’t go back’. You look forward to it.’
‘Lee is a lovely amiable man. He has changed the program for some of us before we had surgery so we strengthened the muscles where we needed to.’
‘It gets you out of the house: it’s the social interaction.’
Muriel M, Cooroy.
‘Being in a group gives me motivation. There’s a set time to meet here so we’re more likely to do this than exercise at home.
What I like the most is we all challenge ourselves.’
‘We’re doing weight bearing exercise with the balls and straps and it’s helping our bones.’
‘Lee adjusted my exercise program before my hip operation.
‘He really cares about us and he explains everything well.’
Mick M, Cooroy.
‘It’s the fitness. I’ve improved my health. You get the opportunity to have a go. You’re not pushed and you try things you haven’t done before.’
